TESTIMONIAL

FROM large properties with extensive gardens to apartment-living – downsizing might be easier than you think. For Jenny Yuen and her family, the main attributes they didn’t want to sacrifice were lots of space and privacy.

“I’ve always lived in large properties with lots of garden and privacy so our concern was that downsizing to an apartment would mean sacrificing a lot of privacy,” she said. “But after looking for some time, we discovered a style of apartment that didn’t mean big sacrifices at Perspective 202, Bilinga. “The one-per-floor design sparked my interest because it offered more space and privacy but, unfortunately, it had already sold out. Not long after that, I stumbled across Perspective 488 at Palm Beach, which was a similar one-per-floor design with an amazing view in an even better location. When we looked at the plans for Perspective Two Sea, to be built next door, they ticked every box – the aspect, location, size, four bedrooms and every bedroom with its own bathroom – the quality was exactly what we were looking for.”

Sherpa Property Group’s core values underpin the drive to create the Gold Coast’s most liveable floor plans. Sherpa’s first value is “less is more” so the goal is to produce the most liveability from a development rather than the most apartments. Jenny found the Perspective floorplans unusually practical for everyday living, even in the laundry, which is often minimised in apartment design. Very early in the construction process, owners at Perspective Two Sea and Perspective 488 (the adjacent development) met on level five of the construction site to watch the sun go down. Jenny said dealing with the Sherpa team had been an enjoyable experience and the meet-and-greet on site was something she wasn’t expecting.

“Very few developers would go to the effort of getting the owners to come together on-site, during construction,” she said. “It was a great way to mark a milestone, to introduce owners to each other and get to know the the builder, the Sherpa team, their culture, and their values. A business is a reflection of the business owner’s values and it gives purchasers confidence to know they are dealing with people who are real and have a down-to-earth culture. When you’re buying something that’s not tangible (at first) you rely on the team that’s building it to build a product that matches what you imagine. It’s comforting to know that Sherpa has picked a builder that is consistent with what we envisage.”

Jenny said a surprising detail about Perspective Two Sea was the level of security in the building.

“It’s the only development I found that gives each lot owner their own garage door in the carpark as well,” she said. “It gives you privacy but it is also a higher level of security as well.”
