Discover a new Perspective on the Gold Coast
A great story on Perspective Nexus was published on Domain this week:
In a COVID-19 world, lifestyle has become an increasingly precious commodity, and our home plays a leading role in helping us achieve our aspirations.
A new residential development on the Gold Coast, nestled between Coolangatta and Burleigh Heads at Palm Beach, is attracting buyers looking for the ultimate in lifestyle – and liveability. Known as Perspective Nexus, the luxurious project is the nexus – or central point – where everything buyers are looking for comes together in a unique and increasingly sought-after location. Situated in a prime position at south Palm Beach, on the beachfront side of the Gold Coast Highway next to parkland, Perspective Nexus enjoys nature on its doorstep.
Palm Beach fronts the Pacific Ocean and is book-ended by Tallebudgera and Currumbin creeks, and what locals refer to as ‘The Alley’ – a surf break where waves wrap around the point. The suburb also offers a laidback lifestyle reminiscent of the Gold Coast of yesteryear, but with the vitality of hip cafes and the convenience of amenities throughout the surrounding area and the wider Gold Coast.
An unrestrained lifestyle is what true luxury is all about, rather than opulence and ostentatious expressions of wealth, says Sherpa Property Group CEO Christie Leet, the developer behind Nexus.
“It’s about doing what you love and engaging with life in natural surroundings, while enjoying the ease and convenience in absolute comfort,” he says. “Creating a sanctuary of effortless luxury in the heart of a lifestyle hub, Nexus provides the style and comfort we all want with direct access to connect with nature.”
Less is more
Sherpa Property Group approaches its projects with the intention of setting a new standard in luxury living on the Gold Coast, with Nexus embodying one of its core values of ‘less is more’. Resisting the repetitive cookie-cutter approach of maximising yield through quantity, the developer’s focus instead is on creating bespoke residences that deliver the best in liveability.
Despite the site allowing for twice the number of residences, Nexus has planned for just 34 – including 30 three-bedroom apartments, two penthouses and three three-level “Sky Homes” – giving buyers more space and privacy.
Residences range in size from 235 to 600 square metres and are priced between $1.3 million and $6 million. Each apartment has a home office and private balcony.
The Sky Homes also have their own private rooftop terrace, including pool and spa, with 360-degree views of Palm Beach stretching north to Burleigh Heads, south to Coolangatta and west to Currumbin Creek and into the Gold Coast hinterland.
“Lifestyle is the driving force behind the design of Nexus and, for us, it’s all about creating liveability,” says Leet, adding that some of the key features for the development, designed by HAL Architects, are the views and functional floor plans.
Having larger residences means apartments can be effectively divided in two by closing a door. In Nexus, the living area and main bedroom can be closed off from the remainder of the home to accommodate family and friends, including the grandchildren when they come to stay.
Nexus was also designed to be pet friendly, with balconies having synthetic turf and a sprinkler system, says Sherpa Property Group sales consultant Todd Robinson.
“This has been a big selling point, along with the nearby dog beach,” he says.
Communal amenities in the development will include a wellness centre, pool and pizza oven.
Locals want luxury
Local owner-occupiers looking to upgrade their home have registered strong interest in Nexus, with potential buyers also coming from Brisbane and interstate.
“Many locals are looking to move closer to the beach, and a luxurious opportunity like this, in this location, hasn’t been available before,” says Leet.
Palm Beach has been somewhat of a “forgotten cousin” of Surfers Paradise, Coolangatta and Broadbeach, but is now attracting greater attention, says Robinson.
“Over the last 12 months, it has hit the ‘go’ button, with a lot of development, along with new restaurants and cafes; it’s a sleeping giant. Palm Beach has certainly repositioned itself and will continue to do so over the next few years as these developments come to fruition.”
Nexus, which is currently fielding expressions of interest, is scheduled to start taking shape next year.
